IP protection class testing

The IP-Protection type-Code describes the protection of a case against the invasion of solid foreign bodies, dust and water. The different types of influences are divided into individual IP-classes. The maximum stress and the resilience of products against the respective environmental influences (classes) can thus be made comparable for the user.

Our test chambers, which comply with the standard, are state-of-the-art. The automatic recording of the test parameter settings ensures the high quality of the testings.

We test, for instance, according to the requirements of DIN 60529 and DIN 40050.

In our water chamber the following Protection class tests are feasible:

IP X1 = Dripping water
IP X2 = Dripping water below 15°
IP X3 = Spray water at an angle up to 60°
IP X4 = Spray water from each direction
IP X5 = Water jet testing
IP X6 = Testing with jets of water

In addition we also offer immersion testings IPX7 and IPX8.
Especially for aviation construction we can utilize in our chamber a dripping device, which adheres to the testing parameters for water proofness according to RTCA DO-160.

Our dust chamber allows these testings:
IP 5X = dust protected
IP 6X = dust tight (with underpressure in the case)

Different test dusts can be used, like e.g. talcum or Arizona dust.
In addition we offer the testings for resistance against the intrusion of solid bodies IP1X, IP2X, IP3X, IP4X.
