The sun now shines all year round at Treo!
Our new xenon weathering chamber allows us to simulate the complete spectrum of sunlight.
If your products are exposed to sunlight, this can lead to material changes over time, especially in conjunction with moisture and heat. As well as undesirable changes in appearance, this also often causes functional damage to the components. Especially for products made of plastic or with plastic coating, material ageing from sun exposure can play a major part.
Weathering damage occurs not only outdoors, but also inside, e.g. behind window glass. Since the impact of weathering varies considerably with the different climatic conditions, the test equipment to simulate these conditions must be as flexible as possible.
Our new xenon weathering chamber allows us to simulate the complete spectrum of sunlight. The unit is very flexibly equipped, so that we are able to cover a wide variety of the common international standards. It is equipped with an optional water spray function and allows both black panel and black standard temperature control. Furthermore, various filters - e.g. window glass - are available.
We are happy to offer you further options on request. Please contact us!

We welcome Sarah to team Treo!
In August 2017, Sarah started her apprenticeship at our location in Hamburg to become an office manager.
She is 16 years old and achieved her GCSE in Hamburg.
It isn’t just Sarahs first apprenticeship, it is ours too. We are happy that we can take this step together and will be approved to train young people from now on.
The role of the apprenticeship supervisor will be covered by Dominika Ende, our quality representative. She is currently doing a trainer course and therewith giving Treo the opportunity to be a vocational training employer.
We are happy to being able to offer a professional training to young people from now on and wish Sarah an exciting and instructive time here at Treo.

Extension of our EMC accreditations!
We have added new testing procedures to our accredited portfolio. For example in the area of telecommunications we now perform tests according to EN 301 489-1.
In addition we have added current guidelines of further shipbuilding-classification societies such as IACS UR E10 and DNVGL-CG-0339.
Read more about our DAkkS accreditations here.
From now on, we are flexible accredited when it comes to all procedures.
This means that we are entitled to update the date of issue of the accredited testing standards independently.

Welcome aboard – the “Maritimes Cluster Norddeutschland“ came for a visit
On 4th of July we opened our doors and welcomed the members of the “Maritimes Cluster Norddeutschland“.
The reason for the visit?
We were part of the pilot project of the “Cluster“ and presented our company to the other members of the Hamburg region. The goal of this whole event was and will always be to get to know each other better, to network and to understand “what everyone else is actually doing.“
On this day it was three companies of the Hamburg region who opened their doors for the other members.
At our laboratory in Hamburg we welcomed the group of participants and showed them our premises, followed by a demonstration of two of our test procedures. Firstly, we performed a dynamic inclination test with our new wave simulator and used a coffee machine as an example. Secondly, we demonstrated a vibration test with a touch panel PC as a product example.
All in all it was a very successful day for everyone involved – the members as well as the organizer of the project itself. Everyone was very interested and had some intensive talks during the whole day, which made the project a huge success.
You will be able to find future dates on the website of the “Maritimes Cluster Norddeutschland”.
UDT Bremen – finished diving
From May 30th until June 1st 2017 you were able to visit us at the underwater defence and security community's most relevant exhibition and conference in Bremen, the UDT.
This year we got to explore the underwater defence world and its latest news with our booth partner Condok. At our booth, we welcomed many visitors and were very happy to network as well as inform them about our capacities in the area of mechanic shock testing as well as climate testing and EMC testing etc. .
With our new EMC video, we were able to explain and convey impressions about our work – short and sweet.
Check it out right here!
Boarding completed - AIX 2017
Back at our laboratory - we draw a positive balance!
At our Treo booth we welcomed many visitors and customers to network. Especially due to interesting conversations with old and new contacts, the whole event became a very successful one. A relaxed but also very professional atmosphere was the perfect condition to inform interested visitors about our new optimizations in the field of rapid decompression tests.
Our next stop is the UDT (Undersea Defence Technology exhibition/conference) in May 2017.
Further informations will follow soon.
Rapid decompression tests with an improved test system
An important qualification test for components and products of the aviation industry is the simulation of rapid decompression in the aircraft cabin.
At our environmental simulation laboratory in Hamburg we are now able to perform altitude and decompression tests with high-speed pressure changes.
Instead of the usual speed which is 10-15 seconds to reach the altitude pressure, our new test chamber needs less than 2 seconds!
Even more demanding requirements like decompression curves according to Boeing standards can be fulfilled without any problems. All our tests in this area are accredited and performed according to customer-specific demands.

Bye Bye CO2
In our environmental simulation laboratory in Hamburg we are now raising the green flag: We say goodbye to harmful emissions and welcome our new energy concept.
Our demanding environmental simulation tests require powerful and efficient test systems which consume a high amount of energy due to physical reasons. Therefore, sustainable supply of energy is of major importance to us.
In corporation with hit-Technopark, the officially certified environmental partner of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, we reduce and compensate the CO2 emissions now.
As the first building in the hit-Technopark, that owns a combined heat and power plant (CHP), we are now able to produce our own electricity besides heating and cooling. However, it is not possible to completely avoid CO2 emissions while heating up combinded heat and power plants (CHP). But - to neutralize the low amounts of CO2 emissions we continuously plant new trees in the Brazilian rainforest.
