The AFCEA exhibition is taking place for the 37th time. Alongside more than 200 companies, Treo will also be presenting its extensive product portfolio at the most important trade show for information technology in the defence sector.
The AFCEA, short for User Forum for Telecommunications, Computers, Electronics and Automation, is Germany’s most important exhibition for information technology in the field of defence and public safety. With this standing, it goes without saying that the event is an absolute must for Treo’s testing experts. “The defence sector is becoming increasingly important, and Treo is one of the top laboratories in Germany in this highly sensitive area”, says managing director Hanno Frömming. “At our stand, we want to inform both experts and those with an interest in this field about our extensive portfolio of standard-compliant tests and answer their questions on the subject of testing components in the military sector.”
Treo in the spotlight of the defence industry
Device and product testing in the defence sector is subject to strict confidentiality rules. In addition, the tests must comply with the exceptionally high requirements of the manufacturers in this segment. Hanno Frömming explains why Treo is the ideal partner: “We have significant expertise in this area because we have been supporting the industry for many years, and our modern and state-of-the-art laboratories are ideally equipped for this type of testing.” The experienced Treo engineers are able to test all electronic and IT components in accordance with the required MIL, VG and AECTP standards. They can ensure strict compliance with test standards such as MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461, AECTP 300, AECTP 400, VG 95370 or VG95373.
The testing requirements for defence components and products are wide-ranging, as military equipment is used almost everywhere: on land, in the water and in the air. The parts, components and systems used (e.g. control technology in aircraft, sensors in mine detectors, communication systems and radio signalling technology or helicopter seats) can be exposed to extreme loads. We can reproduce all stress situations in our test laboratory and determine how the items react to different environmental influences. Our test set-up includes a shaker and shock table (vibrations, shocks) as well as the climate chamber (extreme temperatures). We test corrosion resistance with the help of salt spray and we test electronic devices for electromagnetic compatibility.
With our standard-compliant tests in the areas of environmental simulation, material testing, electrical safety or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), we help you to meet the exacting requirements of your clients. We are proud to offer a full service from a single source!
The AFCEA will take place on 26 and 27 June 2024 at the World Conference Center in Bonn. Managing Director Hanno Frömming and Head of Sales Lars Meyer are expecting visitors at the Treo stand number S55.
