Treo auf der AFCEA 2025 – Fachausstellung für Verteidigungs-IT in Bonn

The AFCEA exhibition is the most important trade fair for information technology in the field of defence. This year, it will be taking place for the 38th time. Around 260 specialists for defence technology will be showcasing their services – including Treo.

The defence sector is becoming increasingly important, and production of defence equipment is steadily increasing. Against this background, it is fitting that the number of companies attending this year’s AFCEA is higher than ever before. Roughly 5,000 participants and around 260 companies have announced that they will be attending this year’s trade exhibition for the defence sector at the World Conference Center in Bonn.

For Treo, the two days at the key defence trade fair are a must: the testing laboratory is one of the top addresses in Germany for this highly sensitive area. “The defence sector is an important segment for us. At AFCEA, we gain insights into the latest technical developments and can our demonstrate our expertise and capabilities in standard-compliant testing to  company decision-makers”, says Treo’s managing director Hanno Frömming.

Device and product testing in the defence sector is subject to strict confidentiality rules. In addition, the tests must comply with the exceptionally high requirements of the manufacturers in this segment. Hanno Frömming: “We have been working with this sector for many years and our testing engineers possess significant expertise in this area.” Treo’s detailed tests can check whether military components and systems (control technology in aircraft, sensors in mine detectors, communication systems and radio signalling technology or helicopter seats) can withstand the requirements and stresses. The tests cover the areas of environmental simulation, material testing, electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and Treo’s engineers are able to test all electronic and IT components in accordance with the required MIL, VG and AECTP standards. They can ensure strict compliance with test standards such as MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461, AECTP 300, AECTP 400, VG 95370 or VG95373.
