Treo becomes supporting member of the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband

Treo supports manufacturers of e-bikes and bicycles with environmental simulation and EMC testing to ensure product quality and safety. For even closer networking with the industry, we have now been accepted as a supporting member of the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband, Germany’s bicycle association.

Treo and the bicycle industry are moving even closer together: we are now a supporting member of the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband (ZIV), the association representing the interests of the bicycle industry in Germany. The ZIV represents manufacturers and importers of bicycles, e-bikes and accessories. With more than 100 members, it is the largest bicycle industry association in Europe.

For Treo, moving into the bicycle world was a logical step. For some time now, tests for bicycles and e-bikes have been an integral component in our range of tests. How strong is the electromagnetic energy emitted by a drive system? What influence does this have on technical devices in the vicinity? And how do the bikes react to environmental influences such as water or vibration? With our specially developed test programs for EMC and environmental simulation tests, we support manufacturers and help them comply with safety standards and improve their  products.

Our services have generated great interest in the industry. As a supporting member, we play a significant role in encouraging the exchange of knowledge within the bicycle industry and we actively share our expertise. For example, our managing director Hanno Frömming recently held a presentation for ZIV members about environmental simulation for e-bikes and provided an overview of the key aspects of the testing procedures.

The rising importance of the topic can be seen both in the increased demand and numerous inquiries from the association. “We are very pleased to be able to share our many years of experience with the Zweirad-Industrie-Verband and its members”, says Frömming, “and I am sure that the industry can benefit from our expertise.”
