For the first time, Treo – Laboratory for Environmental Simulation will be exhibiting at the AFCEA trade show. As a specialist for the defence industry, we want to showcase our services and make new contacts.
It’s a debut that took quite a bit of preparation. The 35th AFCEA trade show was scheduled to take place at the end of March, but was cancelled due to the corona pandemic. A new date has now been set: 11 and 12 May 2022. For the first time, Treo – Laboratory for Environmental Simulation will be exhibiting in Bonn. “We are very well positioned in field of military testing and want to use the AFCEA trade show to present ourselves and our services to this special audience”, says Treo Managing Director Dr. Hanno Frömming.
The AFCEA show is a trade exhibition for the defence industry. AFCEA stands for Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. AFCEA Bonn e.V., a non-profit organisation with more than 1.000 private and over 100 corporate members, organises the event at the World Conference Center in Bonn. Its predecessor, the AFCEA International Association, was founded in 1946 by members of the US armed forces with the aim of improving telecommunications. The German association goes back to the initiative of soldiers who wanted to promote the exchange of information and communication technology (ICT) in the defence and security sector in 1983.
As an accredited provider of testing services, we can make a decisive contribution to this sector. From environmental simulation, material testing, electrical safety or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, which is particularly relevant in telecommunications, our certified tests help make military equipment safer and better. We also have years of experience with MIL, VG and AECTP standards. We want to discuss our ideas with potential partners as well as existing and new customers at the trade show.
In keeping with the digital transformation, which is also changing telecommunications technology in the military sector, the motto of this year’s trade fair is “(Artificial) Intelligence & Innovations – Opportunities for People and Technology”. It opens at 9 a.m. on both days of the event and closes at 6 p.m. on 11 May and 5 p.m. on 12 May.
In addition to Treo Managing Director Hanno Frömming, Head of Sales Lars Meyer and Head of EMC Laboratory Carsten Möller will also be present at our stand R05, which is located on the so-called "Rheinebene" directly next to the AFCEA Lounge.
