New climate test chamber for large test items im Treo Laboratory

For many years, Treo has been testing components and devices for their ability to withstand temperature fluctuations and humidity. In our new, large-scale climate test chamber, we can now also test large devices and components for compliance with the relevant standards.

Many components and products are exposed to a wide variety of environmental influences in everyday operation, for example in shipping, rail transport or air traffic. Constantly changing conditions can influence the function, performance and service life of these components. Humidity in combination with temperature changes puts extreme stress on products, components and devices. To ensure that they continue to function perfectly during the various stages of their service life (transport, storage and operation) even under a wide range of climatic conditions, we have been putting our customers’ components through their paces in climatic test cabinets for many years.

Until now, we have only been able to test products up to a certain size in our climate test cabinets. This has changed: we have expanded our test laboratory by adding a large-scale, walk-in climatic test chamber. This means that we are now even more flexible with regard to the dimensions of the test items. For example, we can now test large and heavy control cabinets, operating panels and control devices for their resistance to high loads caused by temperature changes, humidity and condensation.
